ENERGY CONSULTANT & DESIGN ENGINEER

Joining PowerTherm

PowerTherm Solutions is an energy consultancy with an excellent track record of helping our clients identify and implement energy saving and decarbonisation solutions. Over the past 20 years we have built a blue-chip client base, including 6 of Ireland’s top universities; ports; healthcare organisations; government agencies and various industrial facilities. Most of these clients have set an ambitious target of achieving a 51% carbon reduction by 2030 and zero carbon by 2050. We are working with them to identify their decarbonisation roadmap; design and supervise decarbonisation projects; and implement energy management systems.

The world is finally moving to decarbonise; our engineers are working at the forefront of this. Want to join our team?

The Role

To help meet the growing demand for our services, we are looking to hire a knowledgeable and experienced engineer to advise our clients. PowerTherm is a small organisation, so the role has great variety with the opportunity to work to your strengths, but also develop other skills and broaden your experience. The role involves working both as an energy consultant and a design engineer; you are unlikely to have experience in both of these, so we’ll provide you with on-the-job training as well as CPD.

As an energy consultant, you will undertake energy surveys and feasibility studies, and help clients manage their energy use. As a design engineer, you will design and specify energy retrofit and decarbonisation projects; an example is illustrated below:
